Watch: Gardai investigate as man is allegedly attacked with machete in Dublin city centre

GARDAI are investigating an attack on a man in Dublin city centre last night in which the victim appeared to be hit with a machete. A video of the alleged incident posted on social media appears to show a man armed with machete-like weapon hitting another man standing on the street. Gardaí confirmed they are investigating an assault that occurred on Talbot Street, Dublin 1 yesterday evening, Sunday 26th November 2023. “Gardaí in Store Street received report of an assaulted male at approximately 9:25pm and attended the scene.” “A man in his 30s was conveyed to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.” Officers also carried out a technical examination of the scene.
