Dear Denise: Sex sounds from next door’s couple are making me so hot but I’m worried it’s a bit sad

Dear Denise: Last summer I (36) was woken up early one morning by the sound of Sunday morning intercourse next door. Not just from the woman — which I was enjoying — but from her man too, and slap, slap, slap sounds through the wall.

In the beginning I was disgusted and I told all my mates for the laugh, but then I started to look forward to it. If I heard no sounds, I would actually get up to see if her car was gone.

I miss them when they go on holidays because it’s better than masturbating to my phone, and I feel like it’s a little dangerous. The other day I made my own noises and now I noticed the girl walking much slower to her car and dressing up more. The only saving grace is they only have sex in the morning because I don’t know what I would do if I had a few drinks on me. I enjoy it but I’m worried it’s a bit sad — it’s someone else’s sex life!

Denise replies: Relax and enjoy the fun. They must know you can hear them. They sound like noisy lovers. If you had put some really loud music on to let them know to keep it down, they probably would have cut it out.

Maybe they’ve done this before. It’s just a little game. Don’t overthink it. Decide what you want from it and enjoy it while it lasts.

No sex after a year

Query: I am 76 and going for a weekend break with my boyfriend of twelve months. We are both widows and we haven’t had sex yet, which is ridiculous. It’s not me, it’s him. Why hasn’t he made a move yet?

Answer: Of course you should enjoy each other and a sexy weekend break. Maybe he is nervous he can’t perform, so let him know you are happy to have sex. If he’s not interested, talk about it after your break.
